Leroy Kaye produces beautifully hand carved, contemporary style pottery. He is an incredibly talented Navajo artist. Leroy’s unique style is regarded by many collectors as the finest contemporary Navajo pottery being produced these days. His style of pottery carving is what sets his work apart from other potters. He marks the bottom of all his pottery with ‘Dine’ (Navajo) and with his hallmark. Leroy draws his artistic style from his Native American roots. As a child, Leroy’s grandmother helped him create his own style. He blends ancient pottery designs incorporating carved relief with multi-layered worn stone images. Soft earth wash tones and metallic accents are used.
