Navajo Indian Bracelet Coral Cuff Sterling Silver Marlene Jones

Navajo Indian Bracelet Coral Cuff Sterling Silver Marlene Jones

Navajo Artist, Marlene Jones, has fashioned a stunning bracelet of 14 chunks of coral arranged in a beautiful sterling silver bracelet.  She has etched 'M. Jones' and stamped "sterling" on the inside of the bracelet.  The bracelet is 1" wide at its widest and goes down to 1/4" wide at the end of the bands.  It has the coral decorated part for 4". It has decorated edges, with a rope design inside that really enhances the bracelet, then multiple sterling silver beads mixed in amongst the coral chunks.  This is a most impressive bracelet that will get many compliments. The bracelet measures 5-1/4" inside from end to end with an opening of 1-1/4". It can be VERY MINIMALLY adjusted by squeezing the ends.  What a great addition to your jewelry collection! This is a must have for all you coral lovers. The bracelet weighs a sturdy 23 grams.

Coral is one of a few gemstones of organic origin. Coral is the skeletal remains of marine animals called coral polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls. Most precious coral is found in warm waters. This deep red coral is found in the Mediterranean Sea. The oldest known findings of red coral date from the Mesopotamian civilization, i.e. from about 3000 BC. Believed to bring protection, coral was given as a gift by parents to their young children .  Mohs Hardness:  3-4.
