Floyd Becenti, Navajo artist and silversmith, has created an outstanding sterling silver overlay belt buckle shaped like a bear with mountains, grasses, rocks and a bobcat highlighted in the body of the bear. His artistry is so present.  The symbology is overpowering.  What a magnificent belt buckle!<p>

The belt buckle measures approximately 3" by 2-1/4".  It would accommodate a 1-1/" belt.  Floyd has stamped his name and sterling on the back of this belt buckle.  This buckle is sure to get many comments and compliments.<p>

          Overlay is created by “sweating”, or soldering, two pieces of silver together.  The top piece contains a design element which is meticulously cut out of silver.  The bottom piece is oxidized and often textured to produce a contrasting background.  They then carefully file, buff and polish to produce the fine finish on their beautiful item.<p>
