Navajo Indian Necklace Multistone Inlay Sterling Silver Harold Smith

Harold Smith, Navajo Silversmith and Artist, has handmade a most beautiful and unusual pendant. He has inlay lapis, mother-of-pearl, spiny oyster shell and malachite in a very heavy and distinctive sterling silver setting. The inlay is in its own setting which is set on the pendant setting--raising up the inlay. He has decorated the setting with some simple scoring--highly effective without detracting from the inlay. On the back of the pendant, Harold has stamped "H. Smith - Sterling".<p>

The pendant measures 2-3/4" down each side and 1" across the top and 1-1/2" across the bottom. The inlay measures 2" down each side and 3/8" across the top and 3/4" across the bottom. <p>

The sterling silver chain holding the pendant is heavy and handmade. It is 21" long plus with the pendant and bail it is 24" total in length. It is adjustable shorter in the top section of the chain by catching the clasp through a lower link.  So practical and gorgeous!<p>
