Navajo potter,Vera Thompson, uses her etching, glazing, and painting to create marvelous pieces.  Vera has etched some traditional designs in the bear and then glazed the whole piece. Just gorgeous. This bear would make a wonderful addition to your display cabinet or desk.  It measures 5-1/2" long, 3-1/2" tall, and 2" wide.  It is a beauty.  Vera has 'signed' the bottom of the bear "VT - Navajo". 

THE BEAR STORY:  Many Native American Tribes honored the spirit of the bear as a magical being, the Shaman of the animal world. The Bear is considered a totem for healing, protection and good fortune.
